West Virginians say 'no thanks' to GOP tax bill -- Nov. 29

Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017

8:00 am -- As Congress moves closer to a possible vote on the GOP's so-called "tax reform," two West Virginia financial and policy analysts will share their thoughts on why the bill must be killed.  Kat Stoll, an economic consultant affiliated with West Virginia Together for Medicaid, and Ted Boettner, Executive Director of the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy, are among representatives of a dozen WV organizations -- health care, family and education advocates; church groups; policy analysts; civil rights and labor organizations -- that have united in a common cause: to tell Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) "No thanks!" to the tax bill. It "would increase the country's deficits by giving away massive tax cuts to wealthy individuals and corporations, while giving families, students, people in recovery, and small business owners even less to be thankful for in the coming years," they say in a statement. More details are available at  https://www.facebook.com/events/162919361109635/   Please urge your family and friends to check out these figures and call their senators, telling them to definitely vote  NO
